Engagement

At LAist, my approach to our journalism begins with listening. My role as producer on our early childhood coverage emerged from human-centered design research to understand how to best serve parents, caregivers, and educators throughout Southern California. In this work, I find ways to bring community members’ voices into the newsroom to shape our coverage. Some days I share resources with families by mail and others I distribute cameras to parents and child care providers.
